Quick and simple experiment!

• Fill a cup up with snow. Do not pack it down.

• Take a guess on how much water will be in the the cup when it melts, and write that volume down.

• Mark on the cup where you think the high water line of the water will be.

• Set the cup in the room and wait for it to melt.

• How can you speed the melting process up? (using your hands around the cup, hairdryer, hot air vents)

• After it melts, look and see if it reached your line.
